Its not too late to grow a mo!
(the Mo the merrier!)

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in Ireland and around the world. The aim of Movember is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer. Pictured here is Tom, our production manager with his mo on day 19! Go on the Tom!

10,000 Daffodil Bulb donation to Irish Tidy Towns

10,000 daffodil bulbs are being donated to 20 Irish Tidy Towns committees this week, following our very successful Social Media Campaign from earlier this year.

The Facebook campaign which we ran from 1st February – 17th March this year promised one daffodil bulb to a nominated Tidy Town for every new like we received on our Facebook page.  The campaign was a huge success and has raised 10,000 daffodil bulbs for the 20 nominated towns. The bags of bulbs are being delivered this week and the donation has been very warmly welcomed by the voluntary committees. The campaign also saw BuyandSell.ie shortlisted for a Social Media Award back in May for ‘best Facebook Campaign’.

    About the Champs:
    One of Europe’s largest Outdoor Exhibitions and Agricultural Trade Shows the National Ploughing Championships attracts on average 1,100 exhibitors and 189,000 visitors. This year’s National Ploughing Championships will take place from September 25th to 27th at Heathpark, New Ross, Co. Wexford.

    What’s There:
    Showcasing Irish Food, Farming and Culture this event incorporates all sectors of agriculture and rural living from the latest development in Agri. Machinery to a comprehensive showcase of Livestock Breeds, Animal Husbandry and Management, Motors, Forestry, Bio Energy, Business Management and Regulatory Bodies.

    Tented Trade Village:
    A Tented Trade Village expands the exhibitor profile to cater for every element of rural life including Education, Business, Craft Village, Food Fair, Health, Lifestyles, Home & Garden, Sports and Leisure, Tourism, Fashion and this year for the first time the “Ideal Homes Show”. If it’s relevant to farming its relevant to the Ploughing – topical seminars, information forums, product launches, specialists on hand, machinery demonstrations.
